USS FRED T. BERRY DD/DDE 858
MESSAGE BOARD
This is a new page and the title should, pretty much, describe its purpose. Click on the e-mail address at the bottom and I will post a message for you.  If you are responding to a message contained in the Message Board contact the webmaster and I will pass the response back to the original requestor.

11/18/04 - Ed Jacobs (SM2) 61-65 would like to exchange e-mails with shipmates who may be interested in a weekend reunion, perhaps somewhere in the northeast.  Please respond. It'd be great to hear from you.  jake41@comcast.net

3/02/04 - Dave Shuck, SH3 (1966)  would like to hear from all shipmates who participated on the world cruise in 1966.  He'd like to hear from them and invite them to attend the 2004 reunion at San Diego, CA.  His e-mail address is: jdshuck1@earthlink.net

3/16/03 - Dick Worrell, DK3 (66-68) would like contact Dave Burnham SM3 (66-68).  Contact the webmaster

8/18/02 - Ron Kukal, stationed aboard the USS LIBERTY (AGTR-5) when it was attacked by the Israelis on June 8, 1967, would like to hear from any FRED T. BERRY crewmember who was present when the ship came to the aid of the LIBERTY.  Contact this webmaster and I'll put you in touch with Ron. (I had a chance meeting with Ron Kukal on 8/16/02 and informed him the FTB was one of the ships that came to the LIBERTY's assistance the next day, which he was not aware of:  webmaster).

4/26/2000 - Wally Ramberg would like to know the whereabouts of Bob "Hawkeye" Hoffman and Gerry Palazewski.  Both were aboard the FTB between 1949 and 1952.

4/24/2000 - Danny O'Mara would like to hear from Bill Renton, Engineman, who was aboard the Berry sometime between 1953 and 1956.  Danny lost track of Bill after the South American cruise.

3/28/2000 - A message was received from Fred Miller, who was stationed aboard the USS Yosemite (AD-19) at one time.  He reported an obituary in the Schenectady, NY Gazette reporting the death of HENRY JACKSON who served aboard the Berry "during WWII".  His age was listed as 64 years of age which makes him too young to have served at that time.  If anyone can shed a little light on this matter, please contact the webmaster.

1/5/2000 - A message was received from former crewmember, Max L. Bate, RD3, who served aboard from late 1965 until December 1967. Max asked if anyone knows the whereabouts of shipmates, Bruce Wade, RDl, or Richard G. Warner. If anyone can help Max, contact the webmaster and I will forward the message to him.

11/3/1999 - A message was received from Gene Simco regarding an obituary that appeared in a Brentwood, LI, NY paper. It reported the death of Raymond Ortiz, who apparently served aboard the FRED T. BERRY from World War 2 through 1947. Was he a plankowner and do any of you remember him?
